This 2-hour class covers everything you need to know to start making perfumes. We will discuss different types of perfume materials, then you will have an opportunity to smell several commonly used materials including ambroxan, hedione, oud, iso e super, tonka bean and geosmin. Next, we will walk through a demo perfume formula where you create top-note, heart-note and base-note accords, and then combine them into a completed fragrance. Finally, you will be able to take what you have learned and apply it to building your own accords. You will go home with a small bottle of the demo blend you put together, as well as a bottle of your own fragrance creation.
This is a fast-paced, fun and informative immersion into perfumery. Please make note of your class date and arrive early. Classes will begin promptly at the specified time and last exactly 2 hours. If you need to cancel or reschedule your registration, you must notify The House on Lang at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled class time. Refunds will not be provided if you are expected for a class but do not attend.
Registration is limited to 10 people per session. The number of available spaces (# in stock) is shown when you select a class date above. The cost of the class is $60 per person. Prepayment for each attendee is required to confirm your registration. Be sure include your phone number during checkout in the event we need to contact you about your reservation.
If you are registering for more than one person, adjust the quantity to reflect the number of spaces you would like to reserve and include their name(s) in the write-in section. If your party exceeds the number of spaces available, you will need to register for a future date. We cannot accommodate more than 10 guests per session.
