Tonewood Perfume Oil & Eau de Parfum Spray is a new single molecule fragrance featuring the aroma compound, Kephalis.

The scent of Tonewood is similar to that of “I’ll Give it a Try,” our single molecule fragrance featuring ISO E Super. Both compounds smell woody (leaning towards cedarwood), subtly sweet, and somewhat resinous, but where ISO E Super leans soft and clean, Kephalis is richer and more pronounced, with hints of earthy tobacco and spice.

Single molecule fragrances have only one perfume ingredient, typically a base note that has enough impact to be used as a standalone fragrance. They tend to morph with your body heat and a slightly different effect on everyone, so they make great “skin scents” for those who enjoy subtle fragrances. They’re also a fantastic base coat for layering fragrances.

We include small pieces of Picasso Stone in each bottle to endow the fragrance with their unique properties. Picasso Stone is a type of marble that’s known to imbue peace and tranquility while helping to bring out the artist in you. This gemstone has a unique appearance that reminded us of some acoustic guitars made from naturally knotted, burled wood rather than farmed wood. Collectively, woods that are curated for use in acoustic instrument making are known as tonewoods. We think our Tonewood sounds great!
